Learning Support Assistant

• Hourly Rate: £16.00 (inclusive of holiday pay)
• Location: North west london
• Job Type: Temporary (until June 2026) with strong potential to go permanent
• Working Hours: 08:45/9:00 AM - 4:30 PM, minimum 3 days per week up to 5 days

Join our team at the College as a Learning Support Assistant and play a pivotal role in driving the inclusive strategy across the college. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Act as the key point of contact between Learning Support and Programme Areas, ensuring effective collaboration and shared planning.
• Provide holistic support to learners with SEND, Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and High Needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement tailored support strategies that enhance learner engagement and success.
• Monitor and report on the progress of learners, adapting strategies as needed to meet their evolving needs.
• Participate in training and development sessions to stay updated with the latest educational practices and legislation.

• Must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate.
• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or a related field.
• Proven experience working with learners with SEND, EHCPs, and High Needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in education.
• Compassionate and dependable, with a readiness to make a meaningful impact.
