Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (Secondary School)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Duration: Until July 2026 (with potential for a permanent role)

An excellent secondary school in the Middleton area is looking to appoint a committed and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time role supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, providing both academic and emotional support within the classroom and in small group or 1:1 settings.

The position is offered until the end of the academic year 2026, with the possibility of a permanent position available for the right candidate.

• Provide in-class support to students with additional learning needs

• Assist teachers in delivering tailored interventions and differentiated lessons

• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning

• Help promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom

• Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress

• Previous experience working in a secondary school is essential

• Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive teaching practices

• Patient, supportive and confident in working with young people

• Able to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when required

• Committed to the full duration of the role (until July 2026) with a view to long-term work
