Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment seeks a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive Secondary School in Selly Oak. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting student's learning and development, possess effective communication skills, and have a firm grasp of educational principles. Previous experience supporing individuals with Special Education Needs and Disabilities is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small group assistance to students during learning sessions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Assist students with additional needs, including those with special educational requirements.
• Participate in the preparation and organisation of learning materials.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience supporting individuals with SEND is desirable.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
