Salary: £100 - £120 per day

About the Role

We're looking for a resilient, proactive, and motivated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist secondary provision supporting students aged 11-19 with Special Education Needs.

This is a role where you'll make a real difference every day - guiding young people through challenges, helping them stay on track, and pushing them to achieve more than they thought possible. You'll be part of a close-knit team, working directly with students who need strong role models, structure, and encouragement to succeed both in and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students across English, Maths, Science, PSHE, and other core subjects in both one-to-one and small group settings.
• Reinforce key skills in literacy, numeracy, and personal development.
• Work side by side with teachers to deliver engaging, practical, and differentiated activities.
• Use clear strategies to support positive behaviour and manage challenging situations.
• Encourage inclusion and participation so every student feels part of the team.
• Provide valuable feedback on student progress to shape future plans and interventions.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an LSA, Teaching Assistant, mentor, coach, or similar role in secondary, SEN, or alternative provisions.
• Strong subject knowledge in Key Stages 3-5.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or those at risk of exclusion.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate young people.
• A calm but firm approach, with resilience and adaptability in high-pressure situations.
• A genuine passion for helping young people grow in confidence and resilience.

Additional Information
