Learning Support Assistant (Year 1)

We are working alongside a welcoming primary school in Camden that is actively seeking a Learning Support Assistant with valid Positive Handling / Safe Hands restraint training to join their compassionate and supportive team.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive and engage fully in their learning journey. You will be working closely with a dedicated teacher, inclusion team, and therapy specialists, supporting a child in Year 1.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 support for a pre-verbal child within Year 1
• Work alongside speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions held in school
• Use adaptive technologies to support communication and learning
• Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

Job Description

• Learning Support Assistant (1:1)
• Supporting a child within Year 1
• £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
• Located in Camden
• ASAP Start
• Full-time role - Monday - Friday - No weekends - 8:30am - 3:30pm

Person Specification

• MUST hold valid Positive Handling / Safe Hands restraint training (or equivalent)
• Experience with children with communication difficulties is essential
• Energetic, compassionate, patient, and skilled in adapting support
• Flexible, proactive and a genuine passion for helping pupils flourish
