Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Year 1)

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term until July 2026 (with the potential to become permanent from September 2026)

About the Role
We are seeking a patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team in South Kensington. This role involves working closely with a child in Year 1, providing tailored support to ensure they can access learning, build confidence, and make excellent progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide focused 1:1 support for a child in Year 1, adapting activities to meet their needs

• Encourage positive engagement, independence, and resilience in learning

• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised strategies and interventions

• Support the child's social and emotional development alongside academic progress

• Build strong relationships with the child, their family, and professionals involved in their care

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting children in Key Stage 1, ideally in a 1:1 or SEND support role

• Warmth, patience, and a nurturing approach to learning

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A proactive attitude and the ability to follow learning plans

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
