Lecturer in Festival Production and Live Events
  • Hourly Rate: £25 - £28
  • Location: Bristol
  • Job Type: Part-time

We are seeking a creative and hands-on Lecturer to join our growing Digital and Creative team. This role involves delivering inspiring and practical teaching across our Level 2 and Level 3 Festival Production programmes. You will cover a wide range of topics, including technical production, sustainability, inclusive design, audio-visual storytelling, and people management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in festival production and live events to students at Level 2 and Level 3.
  • Develop course materials that reflect current industry standards and practices in festival production.
  • Engage students through hands-on projects and real-world case studies that enhance their learning experience.
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to foster their professional growth.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in festival production and live events to ensure the curriculum remains relevant.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in festival production or live events, with a strong understanding of technical production, sustainability, and inclusive design.
  • Experience in teaching or training, preferably in a higher education or vocational setting.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging course content that caters to a diverse student body.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development in both educational and industry-specific areas.
