Legal Cashier

Reed Accountancy are seeking a Legal Cashier to cover a temporary requirement for a local law firm based in Reading. This temporary assignment is ideal for a candidate who can confidently manage financial transactions and accounts within the law firm with minimal supervision, ensuring smooth financial operations during this temporary contract.

Day to day of this Interim Legal Cashier role:

• Handling client transactions in accordance with the Solicitor's Accounts Rules
• Managing both the firm's and client account payments
• Reconciling bank statements and accounts
• Ensuring compliance with SRA, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and other relevant regulations
• Liaising with fee-earners and clients to resolve any queries

Skills and Experience:

• Experience as a Legal Cashier (even if a few years back on your CV)
• Strong experience within accounts roles to be able to confidently handle transactions and resolve queries
• Strong attention to detail
• Exposure to legal accounting software
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
