Legal Entity Rational Manager

Rate: £679.78 PAYE

Duration: 12 months

Location: London – Hybrid working model [2 days on site]

The purpose of the role is to drive delivery of the rationalisation and future end state workstreams of the Legal Entity Rationalisation (LER) programme.

Key accountabilities include:

1. Manage day-to-day activities on the project; specifically including
2. engagement with stakeholders to identify entities for liquidation
3. pre-liquidation preparation of entities including drafting the accounting steps in relation to balance sheet clearance prior to liquidation
4. drafting of GSM documentation and board papers (covering reorganisations, capital reductions, and company liquidations); and
5. engagement with the bank’s external liquidator.
6. Drive collaboration and connectivity between all parties working on the project, specifically including Group Tax, Company Secretary, Finance/LoB teams, Lega, Regulatory compliance and the banks external liquidator to coordinate the liquidation process.
7. Take responsibility for keeping senior management informed and up to date on progress.
8. Provision of high-quality MI to key stakeholders such as Regional FCs & Heads of Tax, Global CFOs, Head of Strategy, Group Treasurer, and Group FC

Key skills and qualifications include:

1. Ability to work within and navigate a cross functional team.
2. Good understanding of key accounting principles and the process needed to prepare an entity for liquidation.
3. Broad understanding of core finance functions, including Tax and Treasury.
4. Excellent organisational, communication and team working skills.
5. Experience engaging with and communicating effectively to senior management.
6. Enthusiasm to get involved and drive all aspects of the project to ensure successful delivery.
7. High attention to detail, with the capability to manage and interpret a master sheet tracking 400+ legal entities.
8. Highly organized and committed to continuous improvement
9. Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills, including data analysis, problem identification, and solution implementation.
