Legal Finance Analyst - City Law Firm (12mth FTC)

£35-40,000 plus excellent benefits!

Hybrid working (min 2 days in office)

You will be a detail-oriented Financial Analyst , ideally with previous experience in the legal sector, and able to join this excellent City law firm on a 12-month maternity cover basis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing accurate financial analysis, insights, and reporting to support strategic decision-making within the legal sector. This role requires strong analytic skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial data effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Prepare financial models, reports, and presentations for senior management.
• Track and analyse (KPIs) to identify trends.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct variance analysis and assist in identifying cost-savings opportunities.
• Maintain and improve financial spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools.

Knowledge & experience:

• Ideally have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CIMA/ACCA part-qualified preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in Financial Analyst or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and reporting applications such as Aderant, Iridium, Cube or Business Intelligence reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present financial data.
