Salary c £24,000 per annum FTE

This fabulous Lexcel and CQS accredited, Legal 500-listed law firm have been established for over 30 years. Currently going through a period of business growth, they have almost doubled their workforce in the last 12 months, following a number of acquisitions.

What you'll be doing

The role will involve

• Provision of administrative support to a busy Family/Care team
• Liaising with clients and third party professionals by telephone, email and face to face
• Filing, scanning and general administration duties
• Opening files, conducting conflict checks and preparing compliance documentation
• Taking instructions from prospective new clients and providing quotes
• Audio typing of legal documents and correspondence
• Preparation of file notes and letters and time recording on a legal case management system
• Attending court to take notes or deliver bundles/letters
• Uploading documents to HMCTS Portal for filing
• Applying for Legal Aid funding online

Who We're looking for

Suitable candidates are likely to have

• Previous legal secretarial/administration experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
• The ability to work well as part of a team
• Experience of using a legal case management system
• Experience of legal aid work (preferred but not essential)
• Experience of using the legal aid portal (preferred but not essential)

This is contract position of 9 to 12 months' duration. working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday
