Legal Secretary - Wills and probate

We are seeking an experienced Legal Administrator/Secretary to provide immediate short-term support in our Ipswich office. This role is perfect for someone available for temporary work or interested in a temporary to permanent opportunity, as they look to recruit this position on a permanent basis.

Pay rate: £13.00 per hour

Location: Ipswich town centre

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative and secretarial support to solicitors in the Wills and Probate department
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as wills, probate applications, and powers of attorney
• Manage client correspondence via email, phone, and post
• Maintain and update client files, both digital and paper-based
• Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and external agencies in a professional and sensitive manner
• Schedule appointments and manage diaries for fee earners
• Assist with billing, time recording, and other financial administration tasks
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including confidentiality and data protection
• Support the smooth running of the department with general office duties as required
