Job Description - Level 3 Teaching Assistant

This Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school located in the south-west of Wolverhampton. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With a strong focus on community, creativity, and care, the school promotes a curriculum that supports the development of the whole child. The school has a dedicated team of staff who work collaboratively to ensure all pupils, including those with additional needs, receive the support they need to succeed. They are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the team from September. This role will involve:

  • Delivering targeted English and Maths interventions for lower ability pupils
  • Supporting small groups of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assisting class teachers with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
  • Contributing to the creation of a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supporting children in a primary school setting
  • Strong knowledge of intervention strategies in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
