Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Academics, a trusted education recruitment agency, is currently recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Barry. This is a temporary, full-time position for the 2025-2026 academic year, starting in September 2025.

This role is ideal for a dedicated and qualified TA who is passionate about supporting children's learning and ready to work as part of a dynamic school team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality, engaging learning activities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils across the curriculum

• Assist with classroom management and the implementation of learning plans

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Support pupil progress through observation, feedback, and record-keeping

Essential Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

• Recent experience working within a primary school setting

• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and pupil support strategies

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Academics)

• Two professional references from the last two years
