Library Storage Manager

• Job Type: Temporary (Ongoing until December 2025 with possible extensions)
• Location: Euston, London
• Salary: £15.02 per hour (PAYE)

We are seeking a Library Storage Manager to oversee the basement storage operations at one of Great Britain's most prestigious libraries. This role is ideal for someone with strong people management skills and experience in handling secure and important national documents. This is not a front-of-house position but a critical management role ensuring the smooth operation of library services.

• Manage the basement storage areas of the library, ensuring the secure handling and transportation of important documents and books.
• Oversee a team, ensuring efficient work schedules and staff management.
• Coordinate the transportation of books and documents around the building, both manually and using machines.
• Implement and maintain high standards of organisation and security within the storage areas.
• Work shifts from Monday to Saturday, including one late shift a week (11am - 7pm), with a day off during the week. Three Saturdays are worked out of every four.

• Proven experience in people management
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience in handling secure and sensitive materials.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring the smooth running of operations.
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the job, including moving books and documents manually or with machines.
