Life & Pensions Claims Handler

Huntswood is looking for experienced claims handlers with experience handling sensitive injury and death-related claims, to join our client, working on a hybrid basis in their office in Crawley for an initial three-month contract.

As a claim handler, you will provide a high-quality service to customers by resolving their enquiries in a timely manner. You will be using active listening skills to understand and empathise with customers so that their needs are understood and service standards are maintained. Your tasks will include handling enquiries across a range of products.

Initial training will be 100% in the client's office for a period of three weeks before reverting to a hybrid basis where be expected to working in the office three days a week, two days a week at home.

Role overview:

Starts: Early June 2025

Location: Crawley / Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office / 2 days per week home-based. Initial three-week training is fully on-site

Rate: From £210 per day, dependent on experience

Husp only recruitment - This is only available to individuals working via an umbrella company, we can assist you with this

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30

Duration: An initial three-month contract

Skills required:

• Demonstrable death / injury claims handling experience in a financial services environment, i.e. life and pensions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take and make calls to customers and third parties
• Commitment to work at client's office in Crawley
• Ability to work independently as well as being able to work as a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to navigate multiple systems as part of your working day
