Requirements & Qualifications:

Registered Nurse - Learning Disabilities RNLD or Mental Health (RNMH)

Significant experience as a team leader or manager working within Learning Disabilities/Mental Health

Experience of working in an in-patient setting at management level

Previous experience supervising / managing staff, undertaking basic HR functions

Experience of working with service users with complex care needs requiring higher levels of expertise

Experience of audit, research and the application of evidence based practice

Experience of teaching, assessing and developing training programmes

Evidence of recent multi-disciplinary working

Detailed knowledge and ability to apply and teach risk management

Up to date clinical knowledge including risk assessment, complex health and social care needs, Transforming Care agenda, positive behavioural support

Awareness and understanding of contemporary development in learning disabilities

Up to date mandatory training including Basic Life Support

Excellent skills in relation to the clinical management of service users

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding on the Mental Health Act, MCA and legal aspects of Mental Health Care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position requires availability from Monday - Friday with flexibility where possible. The contract is for 3 to 6 months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
