A Day in the Life of a Band 8a Clinical Psychologist:
Join our Diabetes Psychology Service and provide highly specialist psychological input for people living with diabetes and/or challenges surrounding diabetes management. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Delivering specialist psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions (1:1 and group)

• Providing complex case formulations using psychological tests, self-report measures, structured interviews and observations

• Offering consultation and psychological guidance to the MDT

• Supporting individuals with adjustment to diagnosis, treatment adherence and coping with long-term conditions

• Contributing to service development, clinical audit, and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology

• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist

• Significant post-qualification experience within NHS services

• Knowledge and experience of working with patients with long-term health conditions (desirable)

• Excellent communication and clinical formulation skills

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of an MDT

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a 6-month contract with flexible full-time or part-time hours available. The post is on-site in Croydon.
