Locum Commercial Lawyer

Locum Commercial Lawyer - South West - Remote Working – £60 Umbrella

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in the South West on an interim basis.

This is a full time position, offered for an initial term of 3 months and is subject to likely extension thereafter. Occasional attendance for meetings is desirable but the position can otherwise be worked remotely.

An hourly rate of up to £60 via umbrella is offered for this post.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Specialising in procurement, contracts and development projects
• Protecting the interests of the Authority by advising upon, drafting and negotiating legal agreements
• Providing expert legal advice to a variety of clients in-house across all directorates
• Advising on contracts and procurement work in the changing environment post Brexit
• Completing contracts on behalf of the Authority
• Advising and work on development projects
• Advising on legal matters affecting a public body more generally
