Up to £50 umbrella per hour

Local Authority in London

3 month period initially, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs

Full time, twice a week office attendance

Are you a driven Employment specialist looking to make a difference in the public sector? Venn Group is working with a brilliant local authority in London in their pursuit of a Employment Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3-month period.

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer, with a valid practising certificate in the UK
• Specialism within Employment Law, with experience of practising post-qualification
• Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation
• Experience working for a Private Law firm would be advantageous

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Providing advice to departments with regards to employment law matters
• Providing advice on other areas of law such as data protection, health and safety, and pensions
• Attending employment tribunals as required by the organisation
• Preparing reports to committee and attending committee meetings as required
• Mentoring and training less experienced team members
• Deputising for senior members of the legal team when necessary
