Duration: 6-month rolling contract with review for extension
Schedule: Monday – Sunday, 37.5 hours p/w (24/7 rota)

What You’ll Be Doing:
Join our team as a Haematology/Transfusion Biomedical Scientist and help provide excellent diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing a variety of haematology and transfusion laboratory tests
• Assisting in the preparation and analysis of blood samples for diagnostic purposes
• Conducting blood group testing, crossmatching, and other transfusion-related tests
• Maintaining high standards of laboratory procedures and ensuring compliance with all regulations
• Supporting the development and implementation of quality control measures
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient care

Requirements & Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have:

• HCPC Registration as a Biomedical Scientist
• IBMS Accredited Degree
• At least 1 - 2 years of experience in a Haematology and Transfusion laboratory
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient laboratory services
• Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This role requires availability from Monday to Sunday, 37.5 hours per week, across a 24/7 rota. The contract is for 6 months, with the potential for renewal depending on performance and service needs.
