What You’ll Be Doing
Join our clients dedicated Histology team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine and specialist histological techniques including microtomy, embedding, H&E staining, and immunohistochemistry
• Operate and troubleshoot automated tissue processors and staining instruments
• Conduct quality control checks to maintain diagnostic accuracy and UKAS standards
• Work collaboratively with laboratory colleagues and pathologists to ensure smooth workflow
• Support continuous service development and participate in audit activities as required.

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist

• Relevant NHS experience in a Histology laboratory

• Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems, EQA/IQC procedures, and SOPs

• Full-time availability (we are unable to offer sponsorship)

• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and teamwork skills

• A proactive and professional approach to laboratory diagnostics

Working Hours & Contract Duration
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week across a Monday to Friday rota. The contract is ongoing with the possibility of extension based on performance and service requirements.
