Job Title: Microbiology Biomedical Scientist Band 7

Duration: 3-month rolling contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Microbiology Biomedical Scientist, you will be integral in providing precise and reliable diagnostic services. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting microbiology lab tests and preparing samples for analysis
• Performing bacterial cultures, identification, and antibiotic susceptibility testing
• Ensuring high laboratory standards and proper sample handling at all times
• Working closely with senior staff to meet regulatory requirements
• Contributing to the creation and implementation of quality control measures
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Significant experience in Microbiology, including bacterial cultures and identification
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and specimen handling techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to high-quality and efficient laboratory practices
• Full right to work in the UK (we cannot offer sponsorship)

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
The role operates Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility available if needed. The initial contract is 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and service requirements.
