Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care

Locations: Basingstoke, New Forest, Winchester, Fareham & Surrounds

Pay: £38 per hour (umbrella rate)

Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: 3 months initially (potential for extension)

Our Local Authority client are recruiting a locum Occupational Therapist for their Adult Services in Hampshire. You'll be responsible for providing functional assessments and therapeutic interventions in line with social care legislation and local government requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct functional assessments of physical and mental capabilities.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve independence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques.
• Monitor and review patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation.

Requirements:

• A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience in Adult Services, including PD clients and moving & handling.
