Locum practice supervisor- Adult Social Care

Location: West Adult Social Care Team (Witney & Remote)
Rate: £38.00 - £40.00 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: ASAP start - 31st December 2025
Working Pattern: Full-time (37 hours pw) | Flexible working arrangements considered

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Locum Practice Supervisor to join our West Adult Social Care Team. This role requires a registered Social Worker with a strong foundation in supervisory practice and a deep understanding of Adult Social Care legislation and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional supervision and leadership to Social Workers and Coordinators

• Lead on safeguarding investigations and chair complex case reviews

• Deliver timely and proportionate assessments and interventions in line with the Care Act 2014

• Manage a caseload and contribute to service development through innovative practice

• Deputise for the Team Manager as required

Requirements:

• Recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England

• Minimum 2 years of practitioner experience in Adult Social Care

• Proven supervisory/line management experience within a statutory setting

• Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act

• Experience of strength-based assessments, safeguarding, and partnership working

Desirable:

• Best Interest Assessor (BIA), Practice Educator or AMHP status (or willingness to undertake training)
