Locum Prosecutions and Licensing Lawyer

Up to £50 umbrella per hour

London Borough

3 months initially

36 hours per week, 1 day per fortnight office or court attendance

Venn Group is working with a fantastic local authority in London in their search for a Prosecutions and Licensing Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.

Requirements:

• A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor, Barrister or a Fellow of CILEX
• Specialism within Criminal Litigation and Licensing and evidence of practising this post-qualification
• Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Expert knowledge and understanding of law and legislation relating to criminal litigation, prosecutions and licensing
• Provide legal advice on licensing matters
• Advocate effectively on behalf of the Council before courts, tribunals and other bodies
