Are you a driven public sector specialist looking to make a difference in the public sector? Venn Group is working with a high-regarded department in central government in London in their pursuit of a Regulatory Lawyeron a locum basis for an initial 3-month period.

Requirements:

• Qualified Lawyer, with a valid practising certificate in the UK
• Specialism within Transport or Rail Law, with experience of practising post-qualification
• Experience working for any public sector organisation
• Experience working for a similar government department would advantageous

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Advising on matters arising from the economic regulation of rail and transport networks
• Advising on the context of ongoing and upcoming transport sector reforms
• Contributing to the development of frameworks for performance monitoring
• Ensuring cross-border transport infrastructure continues to operate safely and in compliance with obligations
• Advising on general litigation matters as they arise
• Determining disputes and issues around contractual matters
• Advising on internal corporate matters, such as employment and procurement
