Locum Senior Property Lawyer

Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer – South West – £55-£60 Umbrella – Remote Working

Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team is assisting a South West Local Authority which is looking to appoint a Locum Senior Commercial Property Lawyer to join their team.

This is a full time, remote working position for an initial duration of 6 months. The successful candidate will be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx), preferably with prior public sector experience.

The role will involve handling a varied caseload of complex and high value commercial property matters with minimal supervision. Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Overseeing all aspects of commercial property matters including leases, disposals, acquisitions, overage, and development agreements
• Managing and advising on the development, sale, lease, and other transactions involving public sector land holdings
• Providing expert advice on all aspects of local authority land transactions
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards
• Offering strategic and practical advice to clients on property matters
• Developing effective solutions to complex property issues, ensuring client needs are met efficiently
• Supervising junior and non-qualified team members

An hourly umbrella rate of £55-£60 is offered for this role.
