Locum Solicitor – Private Client

We are working with a highly regarded law firm with multiple offices across the South West, seeking an experienced Private Client Locum Solicitor to provide extended cover while they recruit for a permanent hire. This is a rolling contract offering flexibility and an excellent hourly rate.

Position Details:

• Location: Multiple offices across the South West
• Working Arrangement: Hybrid (1–2 days on site per week)
• Contract Length: Ongoing (initial 6+ months, likely to extend)
• Hourly Rate: £45 – £55 per hour (DOE, outside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a broad caseload of private client matters including wills, trusts, estate planning, and non-contentious probate
• Provide high-quality, tailored legal advice with professionalism and sensitivity
• Draft and review legal documents efficiently and accurately

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Lawyer, or CILEX equivalent
• Proven experience in private client work, particularly wills, trusts, and probate
• Ability to handle caseloads independently and with minimal supervision
