Locum Team Leader Property

Locum Team Leader (Property) – South West – £60 per hour – Remote Working

Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team is assisting a South West Local Authority which is looking to appoint an experienced Locum Lawyer to lead its Property team for an initial duration of 3 months. This is a full time, remote working position. It would best suit a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx) with prior management experience, preferably gained within a Local Authority.

Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Managing the small in-house Property team within the Legal Services department
• Overseeing all aspects of commercial property matters related to asset portfolio management
• Managing and advising on the development, sale, lease, and other transactions involving public sector land holdings
• Providing expert advice on all aspects of local authority land transactions
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and governance standards
• Offering strategic and practical advice to clients on property matters
• Developing effective solutions to complex property issues, ensuring client needs are met efficiently

An hourly umbrella rate of £60 is offered for this role.
