Job Description - Logistics Administrator

Logistics Administrator
Colchester
£26,000 per year
Temporary to Permanent or Straight Permanent

A dynamic and friendly logistics team are looking for an additional team member. This is a varied position which incorporates logistics and administration.

Who We're Looking For:
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for logistics? We're seeking candidates who have:

  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening abilities.
  • A customer-oriented approach with adaptability to various character types.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
  • Experience using a wide range of relevant IT packages.
  • An unwavering attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Arranging timely road, sea, and airfreight shipments to our valued customers, both in Europe and overseas.
  • Liaising with suppliers, couriers, and agents to guarantee timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitoring shipments and resolving issues such as delays, damages, or paperwork discrepancies.
  • Collaborating with sales and purchasing teams to keep them updated on any logistical issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations regarding product shipments.
  • Organising and filing all sales and customs clearance paperwork efficiently.
  • Providing customs clearance and delivery instructions to our agents and couriers.
  • Keeping the warehouse informed of expected daily export collections.
  • Updating all export documentation with the necessary information.
  • Preparing original documents such as COO's and EUR1's.
  • Ensuring all products are sent with correct ADR and IATA documentation and labelling.
  • Overseeing all sample requests and communicating approvals to relevant departments.
  • Requesting quotes from transport agents and approving invoices for payment.
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, transit times, and transport costs.
  • Monday to Friday - No weekend work 8:30- 4:30 to 9:00-17:00
  • 28 days annual leave
