Job Description - Logistics Coordinator

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Saltly - Birmingham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm
Salary: £13.46 per hour ( Annual salary - £28,000)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and fast-paced team within the transport and distribution sector. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone with a strong background in either pallet network operations or large-scale multi-drop logistics.

You will play a key role in ensuring the coordination and execution of daily deliveries, managing time-critical schedules and maintaining excellent service levels across the board.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and third-party carriers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
Manage bookings, manifests, and transport documentation
Monitor delivery progress and resolve any logistical issues or delays
Maintain communication with customers regarding delivery schedules and queries
Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company procedures
Accurately update internal systems and logs
First point of call for all customer enquiries.

Requirements:

Previous experience working within a pallet network or high-volume multi-drop environment is essential
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to work under pressure
Able to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment
Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
