M & E Supervisor - 2nd June

Job Title: Electrical Supervisor
Location: Gateshead

Contract Type: Freelance

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our site in Gateshead, starting early June. This role is critical in ensuring our subcontractors are working safely, efficiently, and in line with programme expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Health & Safety: Monitor subcontractors to ensure all RAMS are signed and adhered to, and that work is carried out safely at all times.

Housekeeping: Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.

Programme Monitoring: Conduct regular inspections of completed work and record percentage completion for each programme task.

Progress Reporting: Produce detailed site audits and progress reports on a regular basis.

Look Ahead Planning: Prepare 2-week look ahead schedules outlining upcoming work and coordinate any necessary permits.

Quality Assurance: Inspect the quality of subcontractor work and issue snagging sheets where necessary.

Lux Level Testing: Perform basic lux level testing throughout the project duration to ensure compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a supervisory role within electrical installation or contracting

Strong understanding of health & safety compliance and RAMS

Excellent communication and reporting skills

Ability to work independently and enforce site standards

Familiarity with lux level testing (basic knowledge)

CSCS card, SSSTS or SMSTS preferred

Electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition) desirable
