Job Type: Full-Time. Shift based role.

As a Skilled Factory Operator in the Cooking Make-Up Area, you will play a crucial role in our food production facility. Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain cooking equipment and machinery, ensuring the efficient and safe preparation of food products. You will work closely with a team to meet production goals while adhering to quality and safety standards. Successful candidates will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality food products within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor cooking machinery and equipment.
• Recipe Execution: Follow standardised recipes and production schedules to prepare food products accurately and consistently.
• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and quality checks of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
• Ingredient Handling: Accurately measure and weigh ingredients for recipes, ensuring the correct proportions and quality.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on cooking equipment to ensure proper functioning and sanitation.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any safety concerns or incidents.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production records, including batch logs, temperature logs, and inventory records.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment issues and take appropriate corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, including other operators and supervisors, to meet production goals and maintain a clean and organised work-space.

Experience and Requirements for the role:

• Experience as a factory operator in a food production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good math skills for measuring and weighing ingredients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
