Maintenance Engineer

Overview:
I am currently supporting a leading Defence and Aerospace company who are actively looking for a Maintenance and Automation Engineer to join the team at their Portsmouth site.

• Maintain and repair production tooling and jigs.

• Develop and optimise NC programs for CNC drilling (CAWDE).

• Diagnose and resolve industrial equipment faults.

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

• Liaise with external suppliers for tooling repair and upgrades.

• HNC or 10+ years in Tooling, Jig Design, or Production Maintenance.

• NC programming and Catia V5 experience.

• Knowledge of Fanuc/Siemens NC systems.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.

• Experience with CMM, Laser Tracker, Spatial Analyzer.

• Knowledge of hydraulics, PLCs, robotics, and automation.

• Familiar with PFMEA, PPS, and software change management.

• Additive manufacturing and mechanical engineering background.
