Maintenance / FM manager

Your new company
You will be working for a manufacturing company located near West End, Southampton so a car driver would be required to get to the site. The role has a temp to perm opportunity, paying £36-38k.

Your new role
You will oversee the maintenance of the building and ensure it meets all regulatory requirements.
This would include

• Inspecting a building and its operations to determine vital services, repairs and maintenance.
• Conducting hands-on repairs (when you are able to) of the building and machinery and utilising outside contractors when not.
• Managing building and system emergencies as they arise
• Sourcing contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, cleaning, renovations, waste disposal, water management etc.
• Developing building plans outlining strategies for improving efficiency and reducing costs and forecasting the facility's future needs
• Writing maintenance reports
• Ensuring compliance with all safety and security protocols

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Maintenance / FM manager who is comfortable with both hands-on maintenance when possible but also ensuring all paperwork, procedures and management of contractors meets the expected quality.
You will have experience with waste management, water, fire drills and process, document management.

On the mechanical side you will ideally have previous maintenance experience be willing to develop new skills and learn about how the machinery works so basic fixes can be performed on on-site.

What you'll get in return

This can be a temp to perm role paying £24.50 to £25.80 p/h umbrella DOE
OR immediate start permanent role with a salary of £36-38k plus benefits on a 37.5 hour week.
