Job Title: Multi Skilled Operative
Location: London Borough of Southwark
Salary: Competitive

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Multi Skilled Operative to deliver day-to-day maintenance and repairs across eight leisure centres in the London Borough of Southwark. This is a hands-on, multi-trade role with a focus on ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and operational for all users.

About the Role:
You will carry out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical work, and general building fabric maintenance. You will also work closely with centre managers and contractors to support statutory compliance and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance across multiple sites
  
  
• Carry out repairs and improvements to building fabric, fixtures, and fittings
  
  
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety and building regulations
  
  
• Support statutory compliance and building safety, including fire safety standards
  
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to maintain high standards
  
  

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent
  
  
• City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent
  
  
• OR City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Multi-skills or equivalent
  
  
• Strong understanding of health & safety, building regulations, and fire safety standards
  
  
• Full, clean UK driving licence
  
  
• Ability to work at height
  
  
• Enhanced DBS may be required
  
  

Working Pattern:

• 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  
  
• Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  
  
• Flexibility required to adjust start and finish times occasionally to meet business needs

• The pay range for the role is £26.00per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £22.17per hour, inclusive of holiday.
