Management Accountant (12 Month FTC)

£40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Our client, an ambitious and growing organisation, is presently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their forward-thinking finance team on a full-time basis for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be tasked with leading a small transactional finance team and be responsible for the following:

The responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support the finance team, driving objectives, efficiency projects, and personal development while overseeing transactional processes.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, including trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, analysis notes, and weekly cashflow projections.
• Collaborate across departments to analyse business performance and refine processes for operational improvements.
• Manage financial system integration for businesses, ensuring accurate processes and controls within a unified framework.
• Optimise accounting software usage, including migrating schedules like fixed assets and prepayments.
• Support budget and forecast preparation, including annual budgets and quarterly updates.
• Enhance financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance with local and group policies.
• Assist with statutory audits, tax compliance (VAT, corporation tax), and related control processes.

The candidate:

• Qualified or Qualified by Experienced Management Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA preferred) with proven expertise in finance leadership.
• Proficient in systems and process optimisation, with experience driving change and integration.
• Collaborative and adaptable, capable of building strong relationships across departments in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with various accounting software packages and Excel is desirable; familiarity with Netsuite would be beneficial.
