We are looking for a hands on Management Accountant to support a growing owner managed business with day to day finance support while they go through a period of change.

This position reports directly into the FD and requires someone with a keen eye for detail who is driven and likes to improve processes wherever possible.

Wish List

• Part qualified, qualified by experience or qualified accountant
• Prior experience of end to end management accounts preparation
• Experience of Inventory or WIP would be a bonus but not essential
• Hands on and a strong Excel user.

The Role

The successful Interim Management accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Management Accounts - month-end journals, accruals & prepayments, inventory close & reconciliation, closing and reconciklaition of the GL, cost of sales, P+L cost commentary on variances
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Bank Reconciliations weekly & monthly
• VAT Returns - reconciliation, tax codes review and advise AP & AR if reposting is necessary, submission to Tax local authorities.
• Cash Forecast - supporting the FD to update and maintain the 13 week cashflow forecast
• Support with ad hoc process and system changes to enhance controls and promote finance best practice

We need someone who is technically capable, comfortable with the nitty gritty elements of finance in a fast paced business and who is able to balance detail with getting the job done.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced, adaptable accountant who has experience delivering management accounts in small/medium sized businesses

Experience of Sage would be a bonus as well as strong Excel skills

Salary & Benefits

£65,000. This role is in office 5 days per week. The office is easily commutable and offers on site parking.
