Management Accountant

Reed Finance is working supporting our client to appointed an experienced Management Accountant to joint them an interim basis. This role is ideal for a professional who is adept at financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and who thrives in dynamic environments.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to assist in the decision-making process.
• Conduct variance analysis to understand the differences between budgeted and actual figures, and report these findings to senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial insight that will support strategic decisions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with various departments to enhance financial performance and implement cost-control measures.
• Participate in the development and review of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with proven experience in management accounting.
• Strong experience in the education sector is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
