Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Derby
Salary: up to £40k (Hybrid working - 3 days office)
Contract Type: 12 month fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Our client, a well-established and growing business based in Derby, are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to cover maternity leave for a period of 12 months. This role plays a crucial role in financial reporting and analysis and would be ideal for a Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and working closely with operational and non finance teams. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate records, and supporting key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts.
• Work with business managers to streamline financial processes and reporting.
• Conduct reconciliations and reviews to verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
• Participate in audits and stock control procedures.
• Support ongoing improvements in financial systems and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience preparing management accounts.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis.
• Experience working in a finance role alongside operational teams.
• Part-qualified in CIMA, ACA, or ACCA or Qualified by Experience
