Management Accountant

An innovative, forward-thinking technology business is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on a contract basis for a period of circa 6 months. The business operates in a complex, fast-paced environment, supporting high-profile clients across the national security industry sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing finance function, adding value through insight, robust reporting, and financial input.

What will the Management Accountant role involve?

• Delivering timely and accurate internal and Group reporting
• Supporting the budgeting process across the business
• Leading cash flow forecasting and cash management activities
• Evaluating company performance using key financial data
• Overseeing tax-related matters, including R&D tax credit calculations
• Supporting the Reporting Business Partner on various strategic tasks
• Assisting with accounts payable and supplier administration
• Supervising junior finance team members
• Advising on process improvements and contributing to best practice

Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant vacancy:

• Proven experience in a management accounting or finance business partnering role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Proficient in ERP systems (ideally SAP or IFS) and MS Office
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Professionally qualified or working towards qualification (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)
