Management Accountant

A well-established and profitable e-commerce business based just outside Manchester city centre is looking for a qualified and experienced Management Accountant to join its team. This is initially a 6-month fixed term contract, with a real opportunity for the role to become permanent.

Along with a salary of circa £50,000 per annum, you will also receive a profit related bonus and 22 days holidays rising annually to a maximum of 27 days. The role will be hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

What you’ll do as Management Accountant:

• Taking responsibility for the month end close, delivering the management accounts
• Taking ownership of provisions including stock, freight and property
• Preparing and submitting UK quarterly VAT returns
• Weekly cashflow forecasting and reporting
• Approving payment runs
• Taking responsibility for the production of the group trial balance and statutory financial statements
• Providing explanations to auditors on complex areas
• Supporting with the annual budgeting process
• Executing the FX strategy including placing forward contracts and limit orders
• Taking responsibility for continuous process improvement within the Finance team

We’re looking for a Management Accountant with:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or finalist
• Demonstratable experience in a similar role and industry
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build relationships across multiple levels such as other departments and third parties to effectively solve queries
• Great attention to detail and level of accuracy
