Management Accountant

Reed Public Sector is seeking a Management Accountant on Temp to Perm basisfor an established and mission-driven organisation to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who thrives on delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making across a diverse organisation.

?? Location: Berkshire - Hybrid Working -2 days in the office

?? Full-time | Contract Length: 6 months with a full potential of getting perm

?? Hourly rate: £20-£32

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute monthly management accounts with clear, insightful commentary.
• Analyse financial and non-financial performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with budget holders to support financial understanding and accountability.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including rolling forecasts.
• Perform month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial data and support audit processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and participate in cross-functional projects.

Essential:

• Qualified with ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or AAT—or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience with month-end processes and financial modelling.

Desirable:

• Fully qualified accountant.
• Degree-level education.
