Management Accountant

Search Recruitment Group are supporting a leading business in Liverpool in their search for a Management Accountant on a 15 month Fixed Term Contract to support the finance function through a critical period. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified or qualified by experience, with strong UK accounting knowledge and experience owning complex areas of the month-end process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation of the monthly P&L and key journal entries.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and record depreciation.
• Post and review bad debt provisions, accruals, and other adjustments.
• Submit accurate VAT returns and assist with compliance tasks.
• Manage intercompany recharges (including multi-currency transactions).
• Support year-end processes and audit requests.
• Train and delegate to junior staff as needed

About You:

• Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience.
• Proven experience with month-end accounting in a UK environment.
• Confident working on complex accounting areas with limited supervision.
• Good Excel skills
• Collaborative, with experience guiding or mentoring junior team members

What's on offer:

Salary £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience
