Management Accountant (12-Month Contract) | Up to £55,000 | Hybrid | St Helens
A well-established and growing FMCG powerhouse based in St Helens is on the lookout for a talented Management Accountant to join their team on a 12-month temporary contract. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality financial insight to support strategic decision-making during a critical period of expansion.
Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
• 
  Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• 
  Business partnering with operational teams to drive performance
• 
  Performing cost and margin analysis to support pricing and profitability decisions
• 
  Maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring compliance with group accounting policies
• 
  Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
• 
  Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external auditors
• 
  Delivering insightful commentary and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• 
  Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
• 
  Assisting with ad hoc projects as required
