Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine are proud to be partnering with an established organisation in the Portsmouth area who are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on a temporary basis.

This role is varied in content and works closely with the Head of Finance. Key responsibilities of this role will include;

• Preparation of monthly management accounts & annual budgets
• Business partner with stakeholders
• Oversee the direct debit processing
• Help to drive process improvements and identify cost saving improvements
• Preparing and submitting complex VAT returns
• Supporting the business with external audit requirements and supporting statutory account preparation
• Oversee the day to day account ledgers

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;

• Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
• Management Accounting/Finance Manager experience
• Experience of supervising a small team would be advantageous
• Advanced excel skills and ERP knowledge

The ideal candidate will have previous management accounting experience along with hands on financial accounting & audit support.
