Management Accountant

A large public services broadcaster is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join in an initial 5-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s most respected media organisations, supporting financial decision-making across a dynamic and creative environment.

The role has been deemed inside IR35 with a daily rate of £300 per day via an Umbrella company, and we are able to offer hybrid working of 2 days a week in the office in central Cardiff and 3 days working from home.

• Delivering accurate and timely monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Supporting budget holders with financial insight and guidance to aid strategic decision-making.
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and reforecasts, ensuring alignment with financial policies.
• Monitoring financial performance and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Collaborating with finance and non-finance teams to ensure robust financial control and reporting.
• Supporting year-end processes and audit requirements as needed.

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• The experience of actuals close, month end reporting and project reviews
• SAP
• Group finance level experience
• Proven experience in management accounting, ideally within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
