Management Accountant

Job Title: Interim Management Accountant ( minimum 6 months)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Trafford Park, Hybrid Working

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team within a growing UK-based organisation. This is a key role supporting the production of management accounts and delivering insightful financial reporting across various areas of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Youll play a central role in ensuring the accuracy and clarity of financial data, supporting decision-making, and helping maintain a strong financial control environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Management Accounts & Reporting

• Preparing monthly management accounts for a subsidiary entity

• Posting manual journals and conducting P&L reviews

• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and reviews across group entities

• Analysing overheads and preparing related accruals/prepayments

• Assisting with revenue and cost reporting for branch operations

• Collating and reviewing data from multiple sources

• Preparing internal reports for key stakeholders

• Spend Analysis & Business Insight

• Analysing key spend categories to support cost control

• Reviewing and consolidating financial data from across the wider group

• Presenting findings in a clear and meaningful way to aid decision-making

• Compliance & Audit Support

• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts

• Assisting with VAT returns and liaising with external auditors

What We’re Looking For:

• CIMA qualified or part-qualified (or qualified by experience)

• Previous experience in a similar management accounting role

• Confident working with large datasets and reconciling complex accounts

• Strong Excel skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
