Harmonic is thrilled to be partnering with a rapidly scaling fintech business in search of a Management Accountant to support their expanding finance team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role, offering an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial accuracy and integrity in a high-growth, data-led environment.

The Business

Our client is a forward-thinking fintech scale-up with operations across several global markets. Having achieved impressive growth and backed by strong investment, they're continuing to expand both their product offering and market presence. The business has a collaborative, fast-paced culture and is looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to take ownership of key reconciliation processes and strengthen financial controls as they scale.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, your primary focus will be on reconciliations across multiple entities and systems, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data. You'll play a hands-on role in reconciling revenue, payments, and balance sheet accounts while partnering with international teams to identify and resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be analytical, methodical, and comfortable working with large datasets. This is an opportunity to own a critical function within a fast-moving finance team, helping to maintain high standards of financial governance as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed reconciliations of revenue, cash, and balance sheet accounts
• Investigate and resolve variances across high-volume transactions and multi-entity structures
• Collaborate with international teams and external partners to ensure alignment and resolve outstanding issues
• Maintain and improve reconciliation processes and documentation
• Support the month-end close with accurate reconciliation schedules and supporting journals
• Assist with the development of reconciliation tools and reporting automation
• Ensure all reconciliations are completed and reviewed in line with internal controls and timelines
• Support audit and compliance requirements by providing complete and accurate reconciliation records

Essential Skills

• Part Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Extensive experience working with financial reconciliations in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a startup, scale-up, or SME
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large transactional datasets
• Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with international stakeholders

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the fintech sector or a similarly complex, high-growth business
• Familiarity with reconciliation tools or finance system implementations
• Background working in multi-entity or cross-border operations

Contract Details

• Duration: 12-month fixed-term contract (Potential to Go Permanent)
• Location: Central London, 5 days in office
• Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 (Dependent on Experience)
• Start Date: ASAP
